In letterpress printing, one sheet of paper can make the difference between what prints and what doesn’t. Pressure printing gets it’s name from this simple phenomenon. We will use hand cut stencils with a type-high matrix to produce an edition of note cards with various textures and shapes. Syd will prepare a type high matrix in each press. No typesetting will take place during this workshop to allow for experimentation with stencils and other low relief textures.
